Coming from the South: Take the I-5 north. Take the I-8 West. Get off at the Sports Arena Ramp. Make a left at the end of the ramp. At the first traffic light, make a right onto West Point Loma Boulevard. At the first traffic light, make a left onto Groton Street. The VDCI campus is located in the brown building, about 400 feet on your left. There is a curved retaining wall and a large magnolia tree in the front yard.
Coming from the North: Take the I-5 South. Take exit 20 onto Rosecrans Street. At the second traffic light, make a right onto Sports Arena Boulevard. Continue on Sports Arena until you are at the intersection of Sports Arena, Midway and West Point Loma Boulevard. Continue straight ahead onto West Point Loma Boulevard. At the first light after the intersection, make a left onto Groton Street. The VDCI campus is located in the brown building, about 400 feet on your left. There is a curved retaining wall and a large magnolia tree in the front yard.

Baron’s Market – Located directly across the street from VDCI, Baron’s Market is a grocery store similar to Sprouts and Trader Joes. Barons provides healthy, ready-made meals, snacks and groceries
Shopping Center – within a very short walking distance of VDCI:
Midway Town Center is located caddy-corner from VDCI. The Midway Drive-In used to be on the site, until 1983. The shopping center is one of the top-rated neighborhood centers in Point Loma. It includes a large number of our local eateries, a grocery store and a CVS Pharmacy.

- Embargo Grill – Terrific Caribbean food. Open until 9pm, Sun-Th. Open until 10pm Fri-Sat.
- Gaglione Brothers – Point Loma’s best Philly Cheese steak. Family owned. Open daily until 9pm.
- Soup Plantation – One of Point Loma’s most popular all-you-can-eat restaurants. Famous for their salads and their soups. Open until 9pm, Sun-Th. Open until 10pm Fri-Sat.
- Swami’s Café – Some of the most amazing beach-oriented food in San Diego. Open until 9pm, Mon-Sat. Open until 4pm Sun.

Parking & Public Transportation
If you are driving to our campus, you can park on the streets surrounding the institute. Please do not park in the Baron’s Market parking lot. If you arrive after 5:30 pm to attend a class, or if you are visiting our campus during business hours for a meeting with administration staff, you can park in one of the commercial parking spaces (green curbs) in front of the school.

The San Diego MTS Bus Number 35 runs from the Old Town Transit Center. You would get off at the stop which is at the intersection of West Point Loma Boulevard and Groton Street. The VDCI campus is approximately 400 feet from the MTS bus stop.
